I am a 4th generation native Floridian and have lived and fished in Florida all of my life. However, for the past 21 years, I have been fortunate to live in Citrus County, one the fishing hotspots in Central Florida. Citrus County is host to many rivers, featuring the beautiful Crystal River and the Homosassa River. Both rivers are spring fed and flow into the Gulf of Mexico. Each River offers it's own unique fishing experience in itself. However, a variety of fish species can be caught in the rivers and flats of both Homosassa and Crystal River, including redfish, speckled and silver trout, Spanish mackerel, flounder, sheepshead, grouper, snapper, cobia, tarpon, and others. |
