Fishing Report: Herring Have Arrived

Herring have arrived in the local runs and the osprey have followed them. The fishing cycle is just beginning. Small bass will begin to arrive any day now. In a few weeks the squid will arrive to spawn and the larger bass and blues will follow. Bass fishing begins in earnest in late May and the best bass fishing fishing of the year happens in June and early July.

When the big fish arrive they feed constantly and hold in predictable locations making for amazing fishing. Fish to 30lbs are common on almost every pass. Don't miss this amazing action!
